Coffee Break

Wasmotoring about town on my way too short lunch break and decided to pop into a buckys and pick up a nibble. Tall vanilla latte non fat with chocolate indulgence cookie. Yippee recafinating and chocolate. Wait, why does that make me so happy?

9 Years & Counting

E and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary together on Friday. No, it was not 9 years of wedded bliss but 9 years together in this day and age is something to talk about , in my opinion. My sister came to care for the littles while E and I drive out to the city for some alone time. We made a day of it. We had lunch at Cha Cha Cha's on Haight. The food was outstanding, totally our type of down home ( well for us anyways ) cuisine. The mood was busy, the salsa music was pumpin' and the sangria was flowin. I really like this place and want to go back soon. Read my Yelp review of it here

After Cha Cha Cha's we did a kinda touristy thing and drove to fishermans wharf. not to check out the street vendors but to pick up a cupcake. Kara's Cupcakes it is both a sad but good thing you do not live near me!







The day ended up with us back in the East Bay to watch a total man movie, "The Fast and The Furious" but it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Happy Anniversary E. I love you!

So Cute and Yummy!

Date Night.. my turn to pick! I have been stalking this place on Yelp, Bitersweet Cafe and thats where our night ended but first we went to Faz in Pleasanton. I have never been to this place but wish I had know about it before. We were seated right away despite my attempt to use my open table app for my iphone( it worked but when we got there, we were seated right away!) The food was delish, we had fantastic wine flights, the presentation was tre chic and of course the vino was supremo.I had the pomegranate chicken, e had the swordfish.

After dinner we dashed over to Danville to check out Bittersweet, a chocolate cafe. Oh my G I felt like I died and went to chocolate heaven. I had a classic hot chocolate and a chocolate pecan macroon. There are so many different types of chocolate at Bittersweet, and yummy baked treats, and cafe drinks and did I mention I LOVE IT. It was a sweet way to end the night, but believe I will be back there to visit again.

Sweet Tooth

I had a rotten sweet tooth on Thursday. I had some time to kill and was on the face whether to go starbucks and grab a latte or something sweet. My good friend Jessica suggested I drive over the hill to Dublin and visit Denicas. I was up for an adventure and an outing so motored over the hill to see what I could find. I was pleased. A cute little shop with a delicious bakery. I picked up a cupcake and a rocky road brownie (for my love)and then headed home to pick up my littles after my sweet treat.

Sweet Treats

Oh PW Market, one of my favorite stores. A major reason they have such a special place in my heart... The bakery. PW is my first choice to shop at if I have to bring dessert to a party or if I want a show stopper ending to a great party. I adore all of their treats and one thing that makes me happy and puts a smile on my face is walking into their store browsing the bakery display and picking out something fantastic.

Today I picked up some mini cannelloni and E and I.. just because.

Snack Attack

Thursday after work I felt a little snackish. I made a few essential stops I have been needing to make. Spoke to a local jeweler about a project I am working on. Project Dazzle me as I like to call it. Then headed over to the local salon to catch up and schedule with the Chemical Queen Tara ( my stylist). Before picking up the little I decided to drive over the hill to Bayfair mall and make a caffeine stop at Starbucks. Picked up a yummy soy vanilla latte, tall I figure it's my night before my three day weekend I can stand to stay up a little later than usual.I had a small craving for something sweet and choose the toffee pecan cookie. This cookie is my absolute FAVORITE cookie at Starbucks. To make it more thrilling its not at each Starbucks. I only come across it from time to time so when I inquire about it and they have them in the stock I always snatch one up.

sweet craving

Was feeling a little sweet last night and decided that I needed ice cream. Sent E to Baskin Robbins to pick up a couple of scoops of my new favorites , the BRight choices menu. i got a scoop of milk chocolate and vanilla. When he got home I was inspired to frost me ice cream and make it even worst for myself. I sprinkled on white chocolate morsels and chocolate graham cracker gold fish. I obviously did not count the points of this unnecessary snack. I can only imagine how bad it was. ANYHOO, here is goes.

My name is Michelle and I am a chocoholic. This is a problem I have had for a long time but is seems to be getting worse. My sweet tooth is on hyper active overdrive. I figure if I blog about my sweet tooth maybe I can be more mindful of what I am doing. I know dessert is not that bad but the way I crave something sweet is out of control. Maybe if I can kick the chocolate habit the weight loss effort would be better rewarded. =(


Ok, well that is off my chest but I am really not feeling any better about it.
