Daily Covet

because purses are kinda my thing. ask anyone who really knows me. my love for bags and purses started at a very young age. I have a little picture of me toting a silly little bag when i was a wee-licious lass. i have always loved purses, pouches, make up bags , pencil boxes , lunch boxes. if you can keep something in it and take it with you when you go i'm a fan. once upon a time i had a seriously fabulous collection of purses and bags. Over 50 to be exact. my love for purses runs deep. i still have a truck in my office/ garage / playroom filled with much loved ones i cant part with. I used to rotate purses out daily, weekly, monthly. my life is too busy for that level of frivolousness as my dad would call it. I do however make sure I always stop and peep the purses. okay now on to this little bag. the color the hardware and snap. the fact that you can grab it and go or strap it on. everything for this little etsy shop is delightful and lovely. i wish i could go on a fabulous little splurge and pick up a few things there... and maybe another posh little shop i have stumbled upon. as a mommy i really can not practically get such a tiny little bag. i need more room for stuff. but it is lovely.

oh the fabulous-ness of this capelet its tough to put in to words. its the go anywhere accessory. perfect over a pressed shirt, also handy over a tee shirt and jeans. I'm the kinda girl that loves a cardigan or a poncho. once upon a time i had a cute little collection of cardigans. jeans,a fabulous purse and a cardigan used to be my uniform. for some reason i wear them less now. however i do enjoy being warm. This caplet is a perfect alternative. it can be worn to the office or out and about doing errnads. i'm sure it would get many compliments. im sure not many peeps would rock this pupy. but i would with out a doubt.

Daily Covet

if you know anything about me you should know i have curly hair. my hair is big and heavy. full of curls and bounce. im growing it out now but i often keep it shorter. its dark and ethnic. my hair is my calling card. its naturally curly, naturally fabulous. There are only a few things i can do with my hair. leave it down. pin it up in a bobby pin. put it in a bun, a big poofy knot on the top of my head. wrap the bun with a headband. wear it in low pony tail, or a side bun. sometimes i iron it out. my hair lacks variety and pizzazz. i have since i was a little girl wished for hair that is more manageable. I wish i had long flowy tresses. rich in color and depth. i wish i had the kinda hair that i could pull back in a pony tail or just down and tucked behind my ear with loose curls bouncing at the end. I'm sure i could if i tried. i have no practice with playing with my hair. this is largely because i just pulled it back in a pin alot growing up. I love the big poofy look of this hair doo. its simple enough to wear with jeans, to the office or out about town. the bow thats tied in the ribbon is very girly. its messy and fun with a dash of posh and sass. i should practice this look and all that its going to take to get it.

Every queen deserves a luxurious bubble bath, even a doomed one and since im no where near doomed and adore anything gardenia scented i would naturally be drawn to this bubble bath. its a personal little dream of mine to travel to Paris one day maybe visit Versailles and roam the halls of the palace that Marie Antoinette ruled and played in. I'm sure she bubble bathed, in a generous tub filled with rose hips, gardenia petals and other worldly and exotic elixirs. I love Tokyo Milk. I first discovered it while in a yoga class. my instructor would scent her eye pillows in the number 2 perfume. And as we relaxed in Savasana and listened to the intoxicating beats of her always fresh playlist I quietly fell in deep love with the scent. I have been a fan ever since. I used those yoga classes as an escape once a week from the troubles that were brewing in my little nest. Things that seemed normal then but now, in retrospect were blaring red flags that something was very very wrong. funny how so far removed one can see with eyes wide open and clear. Not bewitched into thinking everything was fine. Denial is a tricky little devil , no? Ok ok back to my covet. I love bubble baths. they are my thing. i look forward to them and the time i take for myself. i deserve them and an occasional splurge on something as beautiful and packaged so lovely cant ever be wrong. Namaste.

i love this apron. i have lusted after it for a couple of years now. whenever i happen upon it i sit and sigh taking a deep breath sometimes in a very Carrie Bradshaw voice say Hello, Lover. its beautiful plainly anyone can see. I wanna tie it on with some cute little cigarette pants, black of course with a fabulous off the shoulder sweater and a very big curlie hair moment with big chandelier earrings, lots of bangle bracelets and mascara a pouty nude lip gloss... im thinking MAC chai. a cute little pair of flats because i think flats go well with cigarette pants and mix up a cocktail and serve someone a cupcake. this apron is very vintage chic. very mad men esque- very very betty draper. i'd like to get it. now if only don draper was the delivery man ;)

the daily covet

i am a consumer. i enjoy shopping. i see the need to own many silly things. it is both a blessing and a curse. a blessing because i often fill my nest and my life with different eclectic bits and pieces odd and ends.a curse because it sometimes makes me covet and coveting is a bad thing. Ask Moses, theres a whole commandment about it. Alas, if i must sin i rather it be a proper covet over a lipstick shade, a purse, a print then a neighbors wife! I pin often on my pintrest board but i wanted to share my love for things with my blog readers. so introducing drum roll please ...

THE DAILY COVET

this post will be all about my lastest covet worthy product. Totally lusty and completely unnecessary unless of course you fancy it to and want to pick one up for little ole me as well! I mean that will be much obliged.

my very first covet post ties two things together for my littles and i here in our nest. Star Wars pancake molds. star wars for me because I am a total star wars geek and pancakes for the little cause they love them some pancakes. I adore these and they are really not that expensive so I may or may not be picking these little molds up. im still on the fence. So are you a consumer what do you get all lusty over and what do you covet?
