how very true

I saw this picture and giggled. Yes, this is a very true statement. However they for got to add mischievous, curious, adoring and sweet. Those are the words that also remind me of my sons. Very often when the house is quiet I find myself lonely for their chitter chatter.

Flip'n Story Time Fun

I got a Flip camera earlier this year and really have not used it. I was sitting around with the littles this evening and they asked me to read Pigeon Wants A Puppy for the 10 th time today when it hit me... Why don't I record myself reading the story just the way I would if I was reading it with the littles. And Yep, sure enough when I played it back to them they LOVED it and giggled at all the same places they would if they were getting the "live " mommy version. I personally think this was a genius idea and now I can just log into my blog when they want me to read it to them for the 10th time  and free myself  up some online shopping time! I am going to do this for all of their favorite stories going forward!

PS. Please excuse my "look" in this video. I thought I would experiment and really was not in full fabmama  attire this is my chillin' at home on my day off look ... I need a hair appointment and to change my polish and the reflection in the glasses is less than cute but my babies love it so thats what matters. Next time I will be totally camera ready!

January Preschool Art

I have been really busy with work and other distractions these days and have been forgetting to upload my littles works of art. So here we go I present you lmG Preschool art. Ten messy little fingers and I am sure paint brushes went into making these . I need to decorate the house for Valentines day so I think since I have so many of these laying in a drawer I may use them to make some type of cupid day garland or  cut out heart shapes and have the boys send valentines to their cousins. Not sure, but I need to get started on that if I am going to finish in time.

To: Us From : Gabriel

Just because I have been so lazy these days as far as blogging goes does not mean I forgot to post a picture of this cute little box LMG made for E and I for Christmas this year. It was very sweet to open up his wrapped gift this year and see this cute little box. Bejeweled with shiny gems and him dressed up as a reindeer no less. This is Gabriel's first official  Christmas gift he has made for us while at school. Something to treasure forever.

                                                                 Such a Cutie!

Thank you my little love! We loved it!

Little Meal Madness... But Alas A Great Idea

OMG The  stuff you will come up with when you have a house full of picky eaters. The littles not the husband. So my latest idea was to add more protein into pasta.

Boil down pasta strings

While pasta is boiling take out a block of organic baked tofu- Teriyaki flavor ( the one we like- Trader Joe's)
Whip out a hand shredder and start shredding.

Shred down the baked tofu. This is  about  3 tablespoons.
When the pasta is done boiling  drain it and add a little bit of butter.
Currently Gabriel is obsessed with buttered pasta and cheese.
So I am sure you can guess the next step...

                                 Mix in butter, and tofu.

Add  string cheese and mix up some more the cheese will melt

Serve to unsuspecting little. He is so  use to pasta  he will never notice

So yummy ... One down Mr. Super Picky to go...

                                                                           Voila! Success!
Sometimes thinking out of the box to come up with ideas to feed the littles can be frustrating. However, since this worked so well. I am going to be trying this trick with everything for awhile. Yes, expect me to be shredding chicken , turkey, steak, veggies etc.  into all of their pastas for sometime to come. Hopefully they will not catch on for a while.

Spooky Hat Fun

A little  mischief  during a recent trip to Target. I know these are kinda  girlie hats but I could not resist the photo opp. Then they loved them so much I ended up getting them  for the littles to play with as they await the excitement of Halloween.

Preschool Art October 2009

So I thought I would Ask LMG what he thinks about his art work this is what I got:

I make this with squishy... "squish, squish, squish " sound pointer finger and thumb pressed together like he was trying to reenact the painting tool experience.  Really it was coffee filter painting in some cool colors

Gabriel: "This is meatballs falling from the sky"
I can see that... a little  he had just seen the movie " Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" with E and D

Me: " Gabreil, What is this?"
Gabriel : " That's the monster that lives in my room"

YIKES! No wonder he has been crawling into bed with us at night.

Snaps From a FroYo Shop

CV has a new FroYo shop in town. I am a huge fan of froyo of all sorts. I am glad it has made a comeback but it is starting to feel like whatever corner you are on these days just a hop skip and a jump away you can find some fro yo... is this good or bad? The jury is still out I guess. Anyways. I was home on Friday it it was miserably hot. I picked LMg up from school a little ealry and took the littles for their first froyo experience. They of course like their mama  loved it. I think they just liked being out and about with me again during the week on a hot date (literally) I tried the dulce de leche froyo this time around. It was my first visit to this place and I wanted to try a new flavor since the froyo spot I frequent usually only has the plain tart.

As expected it was sweet and tasty. The littles got cookies and cream  topped with LMG's toppings of choice. m and m's, gummy bears and fruity pebbles. While we were munching LMG told me  "Mommy this is a great snack!" it was cute so I thought I would share. I think he was just amazed that I let them have candy in a bowl with froyo and  spoon. He could hardly contain his delight and ate all of his portion and then what was left of mine. BBD... hes a foodie people as little as he maybe he hardly balks at a chance to try something new and he was the first to finish his bowl of froyo.
