Day two of the blogging/ instagram challenge breakfast. I had some buckys this morning not the best choice for breakfast but I figure why not. I won't be doing buckys again for the rest of the week.

Blogging challenge

Since I decided to spend more time blogging and growing this blog this year I'm taking part in the blog challenge I'm reading on my ig roll and tweet roll . Since I'm all in for this little project and I did not want to miss day one I drug my booty out of bed and took a silly hardly any makeup I had a long day with crazy ethnic hair photo. Forgive me... But I think it's kinda silly this snapshot.
Below my snap are the rules or rather the shots i will be and a bazillion other people will be taking. Fun huh? What can I say I like being trendy sometimes.

Keeping the elf illusion intact

Because its cute and it's silly and honestly when your a parent you get to lie to your littles about jolly old elves fairies that snatch teeth and rabbits that hide eggs and you don't feel a stitch of guilt about it cause it's in the name of whimsy.

The littles have been asking about Elmer so I thought a little reminder note would tickle their funny bones .

First story time of the new year

The very first bedtime of 2012. After some giggling we sat down and read some a couple of stories and a few selections from where the sidewalk ends. A personal favorite growing up. My sister gifted it to the littles this last holiday. The littles liked the sing singy ness of the poetry. An all time favorite the pigeon ... If you know the littles you know the pigeon( did you know he has an app? ) was read and then read again. The littles also like the kitten that's forever looking for a little bowl of milk. They never get tired of these stories.

Project be a better baker

Once awhile back I set up these projects for my little blog. Things that I wanted to do and accomplish. If you have been reading awhile you may remember project bubble bath. I love luv love me a proper bubble bath. As a single parent I don't really get time to properly soak my troubles away. I do have ambitions to bring back project bubble bath later this month... We will see how it goes.
A project I am very excited about for my little family and for this blog is project be a better baker. This past month during the holidays I did a lot of baking. Sometimes I stink at it sometimes I do well. I thought since this is the first day of an exciting year I would make my littles and myself some muffins. I did recipe searching on line and low and behold I made some guava muffins. They were very easy to make. Almost too easy to post for project be a better baker but starting simple is often a good thing. The muffins were yummy. I think personally you could add to this recipe and I plan on trying these again and tweaking the recipe to make them a little more fabulous.
Project be a better baker promises a new post a week. I am a cook not A baker so I can't promise completely original post ideas but I'm looking forward to the cakes pies cookies bars and more in this projects future. I think I need to invest in some Splenda and some serious power walking on my lunch break.
